Tau Wey's pianism is combined with a sensitivity for programming unusual works. Believing that music needs to reach out to everyone and reflect the styles, fashions and concerns of our times, Tau has embraced a concert repertoire that includes and goes beyond the standard classical composers. Folk music, musicals, pop/rock music and music hall songs feature in his programmes, many of them in his own transcriptions.

A First Prize winner in the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe Competition, Tau has performed Beethoven's first and fifth piano concertos, and appeared at the BBC Proms.
